My work mainly consists of acrylic painting and drawing. I am drawn to and inspired by the incorporeal such as sensations, visions, memories, nightmares or dreams. The work I have produced recently intends to scrutinize and question the polarity in the self. I create art to unravel the intangible elements of the mind.

Whitney Light (b. Winnipeg, Canada) is an artist working with various media including oils and photography. Her art begins from desire to be in the present moment, engaging with the environment in a mindful, tactile and creative way. She moves around objects and spaces and uses various techniques to get at the liveliness of things. She hopes you discover something in the work that points you to the pleasure and imaginative potential that is all around.
