Shirley Shoub has devoted her life to her family, bringing up three children on her own, to her studies, to her career, to her community work and to her continued exploration of the creative arts.

She attained her B.A. in English, her A.E.C. in Social Counselling, Certification in Remotivation Therapy, Primary, Advanced and Psycho Geriatric. She has taken various courses in television production and she continues to study drawing, painting and illustration to constantly improve her skills.

As Director of the MUHC Home Child Care Agency C.P.E.(Centre de la Petite Enfance), Shirley was responsible for the care of 150 children. Before joining the Agency, she had worked as a Social Counsellor at Ville Marie Social Services, representing foster children.

Shirley Shoub’s visual art (painting and drawing) has been displayed at multiple exhibitions at the Aquatic and community Centre of Cote St. Luc. Her painting “Boy with Baseball Bat” was featured in the magazine “Stages Mississippi”. As well, Shirley illustrated the children’s book “What Makes a Perfect Princess”, where one of her illustrations was included in Mike Cohen’s column of the Suburban newspaper.

Shirley worked in community television for seven years researching, writing, producing, interviewing as part of the creation of documentaries, and a gardening series for CF Cable and a weekly show “Changing Scenes” for Videotron where she sometimes directed.

Shirley has published the first two children’s picture books in her Skipper’s Stories series.

Shirley Shouba consacré sa vie à sa famille, élevant seule ses trois enfants, à ses études, à sa carrière, à son travail communautaire et à son exploration continue des arts créatifs.

Elle est titulaire d'une licence d'anglais, d'un A.E.C. en conseil social et d'une certification en thérapie de remotivation, primaire, avancée et psychogériatrique. L'art visuel de Shirley Shoub (peinture et dessin) a fait l'objet de plusieurs expositions au Centre aquatique et communautaire de Côte Saint-Luc.
