The work I have produced recently intends to scrutinize and question the polarity in the self. I create art to unravel the intangible elements of the mind.

ARTIST STATEMENT - Déclaration de l'artiste
An amateur nature photographer, I began learning to paint as art/movement therapy for my rare chronic pain condition; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), formerly Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). One of my photos was in a juried exhibition in 2018-9, and another came second in a national photo contest in 2021.
Several of my watercolours appeared in galleries & online exhibitions in 2021, and one won an inaugural national art competition in November 2021. I create art despite pain; happy, playful paintings and photographs that celebrate life and the beauty of nature.

Photographe amateur de nature, je suis atteinte d’une maladie rare de douleur chronique et apprend à peindre en tant que thérapie d’art/de mouvement pour mon Syndrome douloureux régional complexe (SDRC), autrefois connu sous le nom d’Algodystrophie. Une de mes photos fut sélectionnée pour une exposition avec jury en 2018-9 et une autre a remporté la deuxième place au sein d’un concours canadien en 2021.
Plusieurs de mes aquarelles furent exposées en galerie & en ligne en 2021, et une autre a remporté un concours inaugural national d’art en novembre 2021. Ma création artistique se fait en dépit de la douleur ; des tableaux et des photos heureux et ludiques qui célèbrent la vie et la beauté de la nature.
