My artistic process is guided by the transformative lens of a/r/tography, where art, research, and teaching converge. Delving into this practice means embarking on a perpetual exploration of the world through the lens of creative expression across various mediums. Each project I undertake is a manifestation around the theme of identity and the environment.

My creative process begins with a deep dive into topics that resonate with me, culminating in meticulous research and conceptualization. From this foundation emerges a visual narrative, with a character serving as the conduit for storytelling. Immersing myself in the persona I've crafted, I collaborate with a photographer to document the unfolding tale.

Stepping into the character's shoes, I empathize with their perspective, pondering their emotions and motivations. It's through this empathetic lens that I guide my artistic endeavours, painting from their vantage point rather than my own. Embracing abstraction as my preferred mode of expression, I find that it enriches the emotional depth of the narrative, inviting viewers to interpret the story much like an enraptured audience watching a theatrical performance.

Even the titles of my paintings are carefully chosen to complement the narrative arc, further contributing to the cohesive framework of the storytelling experience.

Se plonger dans cette pratique, c’est s’engager dans une exploration sans fin du monde à travers le prisme de l’expression créative, en utilisant divers supports. Chaque projet que j’entreprends est une exploration autour du thème de l’identité et de l’environnement.

Mon processus créatif commence par une immersion profonde dans des sujets qui me touchent, aboutissant à une recherche et une conceptualisation minutieuses. De cette base émerge un récit visuel, avec un personnage servant de vecteur à la narration. En m'immergeant dans le personnage que j'ai créé, je collabore avec un photographe pour documenter l'histoire qui se déroule.

En me mettant à la place du personnage, je m'identifie à son point de vue, en réfléchissant à ses émotions et à ses motivations. C'est à travers ce prisme empathique que je guide mes efforts artistiques, peignant selon son point de vue plutôt que le mien. Adoptant l'abstraction comme mode d'expression privilégié, je trouve qu'elle enrichit la profondeur émotionnelle du récit, invitant les spectateurs à interpréter l'histoire à la manière d'un public captivé assistant à une représentation théâtrale.

Même les titres de mes peintures sont soigneusement choisis pour compléter l'arc narratif, contribuant ainsi à la cohésion de l'expérience narrative.
