My work explores the connection between the body and the natural world. Through photography, costume, body art, environmental art, painting, illustration, sculpture, and assemblage, I create worlds where the boundaries between human, nature, and spirit become fluid.

From 1999 to 2012, I created my Nature Nymphs—figures transformed through handmade costumes, body paint, natural materials, and sculptural elements gathered from the environments where the photographs were made. Using myself and other models, I allow each landscape to shape the character, colours, textures, and atmosphere of the work. The figure becomes part of the landscape rather than simply existing within it.

Inspired by mythology, ancient art, and nature spirits, my work reflects our deep connection to the natural world and its fragility. Across my broader practice, I also explore transformation, identity, environmental concerns, consumer culture, and social issues. At the heart of my work is a simple idea: we are nature.

Mon travail explore le lien entre le corps et le monde naturel. À travers la photographie, le costume, l’art corporel, l’art environnemental, la peinture, l’illustration, la sculpture et l’assemblage, je crée des univers où les frontières entre l’humain, la nature et l’esprit s’estompent.

De 1999 à 2012, j’ai créé mes « Nature Nymphs » : des personnages transformés grâce à des costumes faits main, de la peinture corporelle, des matériaux naturels et des éléments sculpturaux glanés dans les environnements où les photographies ont été prises. En utilisant mon propre corps et celui d’autres modèles, je laisse chaque paysage façonner le caractère, les couleurs, les textures et l’atmosphère de l’œuvre. Le personnage fait alors partie intégrante du paysage plutôt que de simplement y exister.

Inspirée par la mythologie, l’art antique et les esprits de la nature, mon œuvre reflète notre lien profond avec le monde naturel et sa fragilité. À travers ma pratique plus large, j’explore également la transformation, l’identité, les préoccupations environnementales, la culture de consommation et les enjeux sociaux. Au cœur de mon travail se trouve une idée simple : nous sommes la nature.
