Luc Martineau est un artiste autodidacte ayant fait carrière dans le milieu juridique. Maintenant établi dans un atelier de Saint-Henri à temps plein, il produit des œuvres qui étonnent par leur éclectisme et posent un regard humaniste et onirique sur la création. Le mélange des styles, l’hybridation des formes, les références au passé et l’affirmation de la subjectivité qui caractérisent sa production, entrainent une individualisation de sa pratique artistique où l’on ne décèle aucun souci d’appartenir à un courant artistique quelconque.

Luc Martineau is a self-taught artist with a career in the legal profession. Now based full-time in a studio in Saint-Henri, he produces works that astonish with their eclecticism and take a humanist, dreamlike look at creation.  The mixture of styles, the hybridization of forms, references to the past and the

affirmation of the subjectivity that characterizes his production, leads to an individualization of his artistic practice where one does not detect any concern to belong to any artistic current.
