I'm a mixed media artist focusing primarily on improvisational abstract portraiture. I collect images of unusual expressions and distinctive features, using them as references while striving to capture the emotion, character, and uniqueness that first caught my attention. I usually don’t start with ideas in mind, but prefer to build on rough, early marks or textures and improvise from there, uncovering or building a face into it. I rarely pursue likeness, much preferring to expand on the wrongness of a perspective, or lean into the weird, for a satisfying abstract composition.

Je suis une artiste utilisant diverses techniques, qui se consacre principalement au portrait abstrait improvisé. Je collectionne des images d’expressions inhabituelles et de traits distinctifs, que j’utilise comme références tout en m’efforçant de capturer l’émotion, la personnalité et le caractère unique qui ont d’abord attiré mon attention. En général, je ne pars pas d’idées précises, mais je préfère partir de traits ou de textures bruts et spontanés pour improviser à partir de là, en faisant émerger ou en construisant un visage. Je recherche rarement la ressemblance, préférant de loin exploiter le caractère incongru d’une perspective ou m’orienter vers l’étrange, afin d’aboutir à une composition abstraite satisfaisante.
